Pua sungkits are the oldest and most sacred of Iban textiles. It is said they were used by the women to "receive the heads" from the warriors after a successful headhunting expedition. Complete pieces in perfect condition are extremely rare. There was one in the book, The Woman's Warpath, by Traude Gavin. And another published in Mary Kahlenberg's book, Five Centuries of Indonesian Textiles.
